Please read on if you are interested in SDN training/certification:

As mentioned in my earlier email below, the ANZ-SDN Alliance is offering a 5-day training/certification workshop in Sydney from 28 Nov - 2 Dec. This is a unique opportunity in Australia to get the ONF-recognized OCSA/OCSE certifications in SDN (being run by an external provider from India), and to get hands-on experience with SDN hardware and software (provided with support from ONF and ON.lab).

We have received some sponsorship money to support the event, and are therefore able to offer a 20% last-minute discount to participants registering for the entire 5 days. Spaces are limited due to the practical laboratory equipment constraints, and I encourage interested entities to register asap via the event link: http://www.anzsdn.net/index.php/event/sdn-hands-on-training-and-certification/

Any questions regarding the workshop can be directed to me.

Regards,
Vijay

Subject: Hands-on SDN Training and Certification Course in Sydney 28 Nov - 2 Dec

Dear NOG-gers with an interest in Software Defined Networking (SDN):

The ANZ-SDN Alliance<http://www.anzsdn.net/>, with support from the Open Networking Foundation<https://www.opennetworking.org/>, is proud to offer a 5-day hands-on intensive SDN training workshop in Sydney during the week of 28 Nov - 2 Dec. This workshop is meant for network operators, not software developers. The aim is to learn how to set up and operate an OpenFlow based environment for various applications such as routing, firewalling, and traffic classification. You will operate an OpenFlow switch by manipulating its flow-table rules, and you will install and configure SDN controllers for the enterprise and carrier networks (Faucet and ONOS respectively). The training workshop will be hands-on, vendor-neutral (we will be using OpenFlow compliant switches from Noviflow, Allied-Telesys, and NorthBoundNetworks), and you will also have the opportunity to obtain formal SDN certifications from the ONF.

Please note that this is a paid workshop. The cost of the 5-day workshop is AU$5500 (GST inclusive), and it includes the SDN training and certification offered by the ONF - namely the ONF certified SDN Associate (OCSA) and the ONF certified SDN Engineer (OCSE). Individual days of the workshops can also be availed of (at a price of $1100 per-day), but participants need to be aware of the pre-requisites and assumed prior knowledge for each day. The workshop details and registration are visible from the ANZ-SDN Alliance main web-page or you can directly go through to the event page: http://www.anzsdn.net/index.php/event/sdn-hands-on-training-and-certification/

Due to the hands-on nature of this workshop, spaces are strictly limited - so please register as soon as possible via the event registration/payment link above.

Regards,

Vijay
