I did actually think recently there was discussion about a ausnog-chat list?

Maybe just copy and paste the membership list of the main list and anyone who wants to remove themselves can?

I think Daniel raises some valid points, do those who find it horrid what he says fit into that category... who knows, there are likely some here who certainly do. It is also likely that many employers hire some for a reason then decide to move them into an area of expertise that they are not familiar with, nor even want to be there, I know it happened to someone I worked with a few years ago and he was none too happy.

That said, the best way to learn is the hard way when thrown into the deep end, no exam for anything can cover all aspects on how to handle every crisis, nor can it judge how you will handle certain pressures.
