Why run an antenna to the roof, when you can put the entire unit on the
roof in a weatherproof enclosure? Then you only need to run Cat5e or better
back down, which probably is already in place in most cases...
Saves time and worry dealing with weak GPS signals and suitable
antennas/coax feeds... If you can't move the signal to the device, move the
device to the signal!
