Hey Simon,

My apologies I should clarify. I am of the understanding that Cisco have two SKU’s for the 867 without wireless. There is the old Cisco 867VAE and the newer C867VAE. The latter might have this support, the original definitely doesn’t (I owned and used one at home) personally I remember testing 867’s with VDSL and threw them in the bin when we very quickly realised the sync issues.

That seems to conflict with the information available from Cisco.
The 867VAE and the 867VAE-W both have VAE2_A_39t_B39d_24m.SSA.bin available as a firmware option for the onboard VDSL2 modem.

Personally I run the 887VA-W-A-K9 in most customer scenarios.

Can confirm that the 867VAE-K9 in any form will not work, only the later wireless model that was released had the ability to have the VDSL controller firmware updated which supported vectoring. The non-wireless models are basically pointless now. We’ve moved to C887VA’s for all our small deployments where the 867 used to fit.

Hi,

Has anyone had any luck with configuring a Cisco 867VAE-K9 (not the 867VAE-W) on NBN NCAS? [VDSL handoff, and Vlan tag 100 on WAN (via AAPT)]

I have almost tried any recommendations on AusNog, Whirpool, Cisco and many other Communities with no luck. I understand 867VAE chipset is different to 867VAE-W, and that 867VAE-W works just fine on NBN NCAS, but the 867VAE-K9 has not worked for me yet.

Has anyone got an 867VAE-K9 working on NCAS by any chance, and if so can I have a copy of the vdsl controller and ethernet0.100 config please?
