I found the whole thing a bit cringeworthy.

Assuming the vulnerability to be able to stand up a rogue cell tower is
real, that's bad, but the victim still needs to be physically near one for
the attacker to be able to monitor your calls, texts etc. No mention of
that. They were also silent on the fact that data sessions for stuff like
online banking is typically encrypted.

I put it in the "interesting! it's a pity this was on CH9" category.
