Telstra have completely deprecated the BigPond Brand and they’ve called it “Telstra Media”. Not sure why, but interesting nevertheless.

Not meaning to stir up anything... but it has been an whispered rumour amongst a few sectors (investing, SP, etc) that Telstra is looking to sell off Bigpond.

They do say 'powered by Telstra' and not 'Powered by Bigpond', so many this could be a strategic move of some sorts.

I would be interested to know the difference if any as well. My first thought was it is just a marketing strategy. Among other things, it allows them to place two ads in Google and double up in other areas. Then the marketing they do directly with Telstra trickles over to the 'powered by Telstra' Belong also.
