[AusNOG] Thoughts about IP Transit

The port costs of Megaport are extremely low... I am regularly surprised
how misunderstood they are since they are so simple.

A $500 basic port charge for 10Gb access and free IX over it is a dream
price.  The costs of VxC's are only $200 inter-dc which are speed agnostic.
 The fact you can do this for 1 day for $20 is astounding.

Also, if you are a supplier, and people are initiating the connection to
you, you pay nothing for this.

This cost structure seems to be very economical to me.  Not only that, once
there are other VxC players - which I believe NextGen is launching soon,
and perhaps others, there will be an interesting amount of options out
there.
