[AusNOG] Simon Hackett's presentation from Comms Day yesterday - NBN fibre on copper prices

Optus used to ship something similar - the Huawei E960 - was a 3g 
wireless router with four ethernet ports, and one POTS port.  Was 
insanely expensive to make calls on, as they were charged at full mobile 
rates, and you couldn't get a 'mobile' plan for it, but was great in an 
emergency.

When not in use out and about, I'd leave it at home, plugged into an 
SPA3102, which dropped it into the home PABX, so that I could call it 
from my optus mobile to make free 15-minute calls home to talk to the Mrs..
