[AusNOG] NBN Battery backups

Unless NBN Co. makes this an API driven feature where RSP's can somehow increase their ARPU (I.e, where they make money and NBN Co. do the work) I guarantee they won't be interested in supporting more crud.
I wholly believe NBN Co. should support everything in the last mile, up to and including anything NTU related. What's in it for the RSP otherwise?
