For what it's worth, I've had great success deploying these [1,2] with
Nagios monitoring to help give us 'eyes' into closed off server closets.

 

They'll do snmp, http etc.

Is it a faulty sensor? Have you brought in some independent sensors to
verify what is going on?

 

Is the airflow in the unit flowing correctly? No blockages?

 

I would also make sure you check what temperature those AC units are on.
I've seen some installations which don't use commercial units and try to
pump consistently below 19 degrees. All I can say is that bad things can
happen when the wrong equipment is installed. Make sure you have fail over
aircon units installed in case the primary fails. If money etc permits.

Hey all,

                Weve had some issues with cooling today and had the a/c guys
out twice, however now the unit is saying that its too hot, yet the entire
area is a nice cool 19 degrees (24 degrees at the exhaust point) I have no
idea what they have set the ac unit too however.

 

So the question is, what is the sweet spot for cooling?
