IPv6 was designed with a lot more modern realities in mind, and a lot more
in reserve so policies can be changed accordingly as the reserves become
required (if/when that happens).. It's a bit unfair to keep comparing v4
and v6 in the context of a human saying "wow that sounds like a big number"
People don't react the same way to 2TB, 3TB SATA drives hitting the market
the same way they used to with "Wow, 120 megs.. How am I ever going to
fill that?" which used to happen when the only way to fill a drive was by
using your 1-2 hours a day on the local BBS to download shareware over
9600bps..
We've gotten better at thinking about the future than we once did.. No
really :)
