VF nz are now selling them commercially.  But only to customers on it's 
fixed line bb service.  The data is unmetered.

It's an interesting topic, "If you want great coverage for your mobile 
then you have to buy your bb from us as well"....

...but as MMC says, what happens when the lights go out and your fixed 
bb dies and your carrier has long since stopped providing enough service 
in the area to carry the network load in a disaster (not that I would 
know much about disasters living in chch!)

With a move to naked dsl or FTTH on a large scale, this issue is now 
getting more and more focus as you could end up with a whole city 
without any comms after 8 hours.
