[AusNOG] Help! How to stop a mistaken line disconnection (iiNet/Telstra/contractors)

Because I was on a grandfathered plan, and because I'm moving to a naked
DSL service at he new location it made sense to somebody or some system
that my phone service wasn't needed and could be shut down immediately,
even though the rest isn't happening for weeks.

But I understand the situation iiNet is in. It's a weekend. It's already
bumped through provisioning, off to Telstra, and god knows where from
there. So tracking down whoever it is going to plug or prod is hard.

Still trying though.

Does anyone know what kind of Telstra/contractor staff member is likely
to visit the exchange, and what they'll be doing? As you said they
probably wont listen to me, but I can try.

Cheers,
dan

If youre friendly with them it might work. Could be a long wait though...
