[AusNOG] Conroy announcement on filtering

I was under the impression that this was all the result of a promise to an overtly fundamentalist christian party for voting preferences... "give us your votes so we can get in, and we promise to force your fundamentalist views on the general populous via an internet filter".

Nothing wrong with promoting good values, however forcing your values on people will only make them resent you and want to stab you in the face with a brick.
