[AusNOG] Equinix Outage

well I guess it depends how many racks you have at EQX...

we have a number of racks in SYD1 in different parts of the building

power issue has been in SYD1 only so far, and has taken rows of racks outs 
during power outages

if you go dig up some old threads on whingelpool you will even find links 
to pictures... of blown fuse etc...

you could say we have been unlucky but after 5 outages... hmmmm, 

luckly todays outage wasnt that bad, we have had couple of 3 hour outages 
during business hours back in March

for those that have racks at EQX and this was you first outage... get some 
answers from your account managers to make sure this kind of crap doesnt 
happen again.

I know they are others on the this list that know of the 5 outages I am 
talking about... they might have been more, I can only speak for the once 
that I know of.

This would be the second I count in the past 12 months with the
first only being isolated to a small amount of racks, If you have had 5 in 
the
last 3 months then something is really wrong!

my home pc has better uptime than EQX currently.
