[AusNOG] Lightning and FTTC - is it really this bad?

Yes Mark, I've heard of it ;)

I guess my point was - why is (is it?) FTTC somehow apparently more susceptible to discharge issues than POTS was/is. Perhaps I am getting the wrong impression from the article.
