Hi AUSNOG Community,

The APRICOT 2021 program is now final — check it out!

There's plenty of technical content in the program, including the
regular Asia Pacific Operators Forum (APOPS) tracks, sessions on
security, infrastructure, network operations, and IPv6, and the Peering
Forum.

Don't forget, there are also several tutorials being held from 22 to 26
February to extend your learning.

Don't miss the Opening Ceremony and Plenary with a keynote presentation

Lightning Talks
---------------

Lightning talks are open to all registered APRICOT 2021 attendees, and
the call for submissions is now open.

     https://www.2021.apricot.net/program/lightning-talks

Lightning talks are short talks/presentations on relevant topics that
last no more than 10 minutes, including setting up to present and Q&A.
This time limit is strictly enforced.

Talks on technical topics that are timely, interesting, or even a little
crazy, are invited. The APRICOT 2021 Program Committee will evaluate all
submissions and choose the best six. Talks must be relevant to the
Internet operations community, following the APRICOT Presentation
Guidelines.

Connect with your peers
-----------------------

Peering Personals will be part of the Peering Forum at APRICOT again.
They're an opportunity for infrastructure operators to introduce their
network and peering information. Each organization will have a minute to
present their peering and interconnect details.

     https://www.2021.apricot.net/program/peering-personals

Please submit your Peering Personal, using the slide template provided,
via the APRICOT 2021 paper submission system, selecting the Peering
Personals option.

     https://papers.apricot.net/user/login.php?event=128

This is a great opportunity for operators to increase their peering
opportunities.

Voting for the APNIC EC election is open
----------------------------------------

Member voting for the APNIC EC election is open now until 14:00
(UTC +8), Thursday, 4 March 2021.

By default, APNIC Corporate Contacts and Contacts with voting rights
can vote in the election. Please be aware, you may not change or
withdraw your vote, or appoint a proxy, after your vote has been
submitted.

To vote, login to MyAPNIC using two-factor authentication and click the
‘Vote Now’ link on the dashboard. This will give you access to the
BigPulse voting interface.

Alternatively, APNIC Corporate Contacts can appoint a proxy to vote on
their behalf. Please note, if a proxy is appointed, the Member’s
Corporate Contacts will lose the right to vote directly for the APNIC
EC election.

Proxy appointment is also open now and closes on Tuesday, 2 March 2021
at 11:00 (UTC +8).

Individuals who are appointed as proxies will receive email notification
of their appointment and will be able to vote online via MyAPNIC during
the AGM on Thursday, 4 March 2021 from 11:00 to 14:00 (UTC +8).

APRICOT 2021 meeting tool available
-----------------------------------

Stay connected with other APRICOT 2021 delegates with the meeting
booking tool.

     https://www.2021.apricot.net/register/meetingtool

The tool allows peering coordinators and other delegates to arrange
one-to-one or one-to-many meetings during the conference week.

The facility is provided by MeetingTool GmbH, familiar to those who have
participated in some of the peering forums around the world.

APRICOT 2021 delegates who wish to use the meeting tool should send a
request by email to meetings at apricot.net, stating name, job designation,
and organization, as per registration. The APRICOT 2021 Secretariat will
reply providing a unique code that can be used to register an account,
or link an existing MeetingTool account to APRICOT 2021. Instructions on
how to use the tool will also be provided in this email.
