[AusNOG] TPG/PIPE Routing Issues - Melbourne

Just had an update from TPG after almost 8 hours of downtime:


"Our technician was able to find a FIBER break 5.1 kms away from the Lorimer Data Center facing Elizabeth St."

Subject: TPG/PIPE Routing Issues - Melbourne

Our PIPE/TPG links on both our internet facing (BGP) and L2 Cross-Melbourne  private links(L2) from the North Richmond area have been offline since around 5.45AM this morning.

Unsure if it's affecting anyone else on the mailing list or just us at present but the issue is certainly within PIPE/TPG's network.

PIPE/TPG have been very slow to deal with, logged an escalated P1 and it took them 4-5 hours to respond.
