[AusNOG] Au IPv6 doubling?

The customer does have a choice it’s just not in the normal ‘Settings’ app. If you’re in a situation where an unexpected reboot can do a lot of damage, then it doesn’t take more than half a brain to search how to tweak the settings with local group policy.

The settings app is frankly useless and I find myself having to open Control Panel all the damn time anyway because the selection of options is so lacklustre in the Settings app.

Oh anyway.. this is about IPv6 isn’t it? ??

I gave v6 a whirl on my phone and it definitely supports v6 natively but I get nothing with Telstra mobile data, so that hasn’t changed either. I have a feeling some big fancy CDN has probably moved to using IPv6 and that’s just constituting more bandwidth among the small minority using v6 going towards v6 services.

The Apple announcement should hopefully speed things up.

So he choose to install recommended updates automatically and yes,
Microsoft are stupid for pushing a OS upgrade this way and have
done a lot of damage to the idea of automatic updates. That said
security updates are a different class of update and there are
different policies for each class.
