<p class="x_MsoNormal">The customer does have a choice it’s just not in the normal ‘Settings’ app. If you’re in a situation where an unexpected reboot can do a lot of damage, then it doesn’t take more than half a brain to search how to tweak the settings with
local group policy.</p>

<p class="x_MsoNormal">The settings app is frankly useless and I find myself having to open Control Panel all the damn time anyway because the selection of options is so lacklustre in the Settings app.</p>

<p class="x_MsoNormal">I gave v6 a whirl on my phone and it definitely supports v6 natively but I get nothing with Telstra mobile data, so that hasn’t changed either. I have a feeling some big fancy CDN has probably moved to using IPv6 and that’s just constituting
more bandwidth among the small minority using v6 going towards v6 services.</p>

So he choose to install recommended updates automatically and yes,<br>
Microsoft are stupid for pushing a OS upgrade this way and have<br>
done a lot of damage to the idea of automatic updates. That said<br>
security updates are a different class of update and there are<br>
different policies for each class.<br>
