Hardly matters. Fibre is hardly more expensive to deploy than copper these
days in low density residential areas. Everything being rolled out in New
Zealand by Chorus, Enable, Northpower, & UltraFast (and EA, Unison, Buller,
Alpine, etc., etc.) is capable of running 10g PON.
It's not a population density thing. Nope, definitely not that.
