Well that’s very interesting isn’t it.........

 

Be very interesting if we can tie this in any way back to the UN treaties which Australia has signed in some way shape or form.....

 

Bet Brandis will want this nipped in the butt very quickly..... 

 

On a side note as anyone who put a funding claim into the Australian Government had a answer back on what funding there are likely to get....... So much for the April timetable they promised LOL

Wondering if anyone actually has obtained legal advice on the validity of the Data retention law and is willing to share?
 
Found this link tonight but unclear on its veracity:
 
8 April 2014:  The [European] Court of Justice declares the Data Retention Directive to be invalid

Under our treaty obligations I’m uncertain if we need to ‘harmonise’ our laws with the Europeans on Human rights.
