Hi Hamish and Keith:

There's also the pacnog.org site where you can download update presentations
made by Pacific islands ISPs/Service providers. There's a Our Telekom (the
Solomon Islands telco) presentation made in
https://www.pacnog.org/pacnog16/agenda.html at 11:10: on ADSL/Broadband
Deployment to Remote Centres in Solomon Islands.

For anyone interested in the neighbouring Pacific Islands, Jon Brewer (NSRC)
is also researching Networking the Pacific and his slides are in
http://pacnog.org/pacnog17/agenda.html

Cheers,
Save Vocea

Keith

In a former life working for a Canadian Carrier we provided C-band services
on Intelsat & SES birds (183, 180 & 178) into Honiara. But the guys who did
it better than most were PacTel who were acquired by Speedcast, and they had
significant capacity into the Solomons. Not sure if O3B are there yet. A
cable is being planned (SOCC) with the help of the World Bank but that is in
a quigmire on many fronts.

Ping me off list if you want some contacts.
