From what I've been told it will be copper hand off and customer cpe will
need
to do vdsl.
Which is annoying, was hoping they'd still do an NTD makes things easier.

Hah...
Anyone know about the NTU/CPE situation?
Can I just use a Juniper SRX110-VA which does VDSL... or will there be some
sort
of NTU and then ethernet handoff?

So basically, right next to the kettle and the fridge, where it should be
:)

OK,
Got access to the comms room this morning. Yup... NBNCo, FTTB, fully
installed
racks powered up and running.
So... does anyone here have experience with NBNCo FTTB? What technology is
it? I
assume VDSL... what sort of speeds are they offering?
Now when I can order it, I have to figure out how to get the modem
installed in
the odd places the phone line is - like the Kitchen bench :)

Wouldn't be the first time.
I had a customer swear til they were blue in the face that the
property they were buying would have NBN fibre installed (i.e.
greenfield).
Couldn't find any reference to an NBN build, so I asked him to provide
a shred of evidence to back up his claim. None provided.
Turns out it was Telstra Velocity, so same problem as TPG Fibre.
Unfortunately it dilutes the brand, and the worse-off at the end of
the day because of it.
One day we'll see the real estate regulatory body wake up to this, and
require the availability of NBN to be printed on residential listings.
