HI Guys,

If I miss any of your replies please ask:

1. It stopped working when we changed from a /24 on our private network to a /16

2. We reformatted the VM and it still hasn’t started working

3. We can see under devices that its connected to the SNMP service as its pulling the contact and other admin details etc and showing as the switch is online

4. The crontab is definitely installed, I even run the poller manually, it spits out a whole lot of time errors ( which it did on the old install telling us that our php date or time is wrong

5. No errors in the log of relevance

Any anyone can contact me off list with suggestions it would be VERY much appreciated this is driving me batty

Hi Mathew,

Hey Guys,

We are having an issue with cacti polling data from our switches, we have checked all the settings and even reformatted cacti and reinstalled it but still can not get it working.

Take a look at permissions of your RRD files. Are the regular polling scripts being run as the cacti (or web) user? What does /var/log/cacti* say?
