I got the following outage notice today:


Description:

Company Tools

Multiple staff tools are unavailable, affecting Contact Centre staff to assist customers.





Email

Some customers may be unable to access email via webmail. Hosted email customers may receive an error message when attempting to log in via webmail or an email client.

Broadband

Some customers may be disconnected from and then unable to reconnect to the internet. Affected customers will receive a login error when attempting to authenticate.





Technical Summary:

Due to weather conditions in Perth, a number of services have been lost or shut down as a precautionary measure.

Engineers are working to restore services.

iiNet have been having some heat issues in their Perth DC. Could well have taken down their phone system.
