Hi Alex,
The Vyatta Community edition certainly works well for our cases. We've never needed support and 6.6 R1 has been a robust product since we've had it within our network.
I believe the open-source community fork VyOS is starting to get some traction, you can also look at the other commercial fork Ubiquity.

I got a quote for their VM router.. Very expensive for what it was.
Charging on a per cpu of the host.. So 32 cpu host and 2 cpu vm . means its rather expensive. (from memory)
I went back to routeros, until the vyatta fork takes off.

Yes - thats definitely their objective, though I could think of better ways of going about it in order to achieve the desired outcome.

I guess to ensure their vRouter 5600 gets better uptake?
We found brocade to give the worst training support in Australia, as if they did not care about certification paths in Australia. I believe we have tried via a few channels only to be told it is not available for months on end. Anyone from Brocade on this list care to comment?

Previously when we purchased VSE we were able to see the pricing in the online store. Since the 'takeover' by Brocade this is no longer the case. They have also trashed the Vyatta Community (VC) edition and thumbed their noses at the community itself. Certainly deserving of a punch in the nose!
