[AusNOG] WAN link outages in Melbourne

Hey AusNOG,



I can confirm we have the same issue, copper based Telstra Ethernet
services down on Laverton Exchange.



Faults lodged so I am sure they know all about it :) Fingers crossed for
speedy recovery.

I’m also seeing this issue, I’ve got a Telstra Ethernet connection in
Laverton that is currently down.

We have contacted Telstra and have been told there is a widespread outage,
possibly affecting tens of thousands of customers in that area.

Hi all,



Is anyone seeing any widespread network issues in the Laverton area near
Melbourne (or wider in the Melbourne area)?



We've got a site down, we've called our WAN provider, and have been on hold
(not even having spoken to anyone yet) for over 15 minutes now, so we
suspect they either have a problem themselves or their last-mile partner (I
believe it's Optus or Telstra) is having issues.
