Hi James,

These NICs were designed for use with HP's DAC cable.
Any of the HP X240 cables should be appropriate, available in .65m to 7m length.

Any longer and, yes, you'll be looking at SFPs.

Subject: [AusNOG] 10Gbps Multimode NIC for HP

Hi Noggers,

I'm sure someone on list will have the answer off the top of their heads. I've been googling all morning and can't get a definitive answer.

We have a bunch of HP DL360 G7 servers. We now have a requirement for a 10Gbps NIC (multimode) in a few of them. Is this the right product for doing this:

The high res picture there doesn't look like it has the right connectors. Also are there any other bits and pieces we need like SFP's? If you have part numbers it would really help me out.

-James

P.S. Running CentOS 6 if it makes any difference. Would be great if we could use the built-in OS drivers.
