[AusNOG] Borrow/Hire Ethernet verification/certification/validation gear

A customer of mine is having weirdness with their network in a remote 
branch office.
I've finally been given the OK to pay a site visit so I'm trying to 
cover all the bases in one hit.

Amongst the problems reported was unplugging a device from the modem 
didn't result in its link light going out, but when another device was 
pulled, both went out. Similar weirdness has persisted with multiple 
modems.

So I'm figuring there may well be problems with the wiring, I was 
figuring the best way to rule that out was to put some decent 
certification gear on it and verify the cables my self, I'm thinking a 
step above a basic continuity tester would be required here lol.
The Pockethernet isn't out yet, so I was wondering if anybody had any 
recommendations on where I could borrow/hire some decent kit from in the 
meantime?
