Why, I didn’t say I wanted to use the ipv6 to ipv4 mechanism, I just want to use a /48 ipv6 range that nobody else can lay claim to.. well for as long as I have the ipv4 /24
This was more of a thought problem than anything else.

This is a strange question.
One thing that some engineers don't seem to understand is that IPv4 and IPv6 have absolutely nothing to do with each other. At no point do they communicate with each other unless some translation method is used... but that method is doing the interpretation.
Even dual-stacking v4 and v6 on the same interface doesn't make them interact in any way whatsoever.
