[AusNOG] Telstra Smart Antenna

We've got one in the office here which works OK (one side of our building
gets usable signal and the other gets nothing - of course the side that gets
nothing is where the offices are). We've gone from almost nothing to a
generally-usable signal, so that is a definite improvement.
There is no way to configure who it picks up from what we understand, but
our closest neighbour is ~30-40 metres away, so that hasn't been a problem
for us.

Subject: [AusNOG] Telstra Smart Antenna
Hey,
Has anyone else here used a Telstra Smart Antenna?

We have crap coverage at our new place and Telstra acknowledges it.
Apparently it supports 5 users... but I'm not clear how I can say that 'we'
and not our neighbours are those 5 users.
They are reasonably priced - if they work. They don't support 4G it seems,
but I'm just learning about these devices.
They seem to be very different to the Optus/Vodafone units which provide
quality over broadband.
