[AusNOG] Telstra Smart Antenna

Hi  Skeeve,

I have one of these installed with the optional yagi at my place in Mount Martha in Victoria.
We have a steel framed house and the hills make it impossible to get reception inside the house.

Since installing it we have got 3-4 bars reception and 3G speeds are more than adequate.

Has anyone else here used a Telstra Smart Antenna?

We have crap coverage at our new place and Telstra acknowledges it.  Apparently it supports 5 users... but I'm not clear how I can say that 'we' and not our neighbours are those 5 users.

They are reasonably priced - if they work.  They don't support 4G it seems, but I'm just learning about these devices.

They seem to be very different to the Optus/Vodafone units which provide quality over broadband.
