[AusNOG] AWS Direct Connect - EC2 with Public Address

Does anyone have any experience using AWS EC2 with public (their own)
addressing using a Direct Connect to get access to the internet.

My VPC, routing everything seems fine... BGP coming through, but I can't
get to the EC2 test instance and DHCP doesn't seem to have a way for me to
specify the default gateway...

Just a bit mind boggling.
