At 10gbps the type of traffic can also influence your solutions.
IE if you are pushing a buttload of 20 byte packets all from random
sources with a full bgp table it'll need way more grunt than something
shuffling jumbo frames from one source to one dest.
IE for the latter case a pfsense firewall with a CARP setup will
probably do the job for you if you pick your hardware well for a few K.
If you are trying to support the former case you will need something
that does all that in asic, you will want briefcases of money for that.
