[AusNOG] NextDC M1 - Out of band transit needed

This might not be particularly related to the request, but why don't DCs
provide some sort of 'standard' OOB (for a price, or for free with X
monthly spend, whatever)? Especially something like NextDC who are at the
forefront of new thinking...
Or even an OOB company itself?
Or maybe I'm just ignorant :)
