It's an *excellent* document, but I don't agree with section 3
completely. I think one should avoid unnecessarily tying the network
topology to physical topology. The authors aren't actually saying one
should (the section is about aggregation), but the section is easy to
read as if he were. A hierarchy of *types* is good. A network hierarchy
that mirrors the physical hierarchy more than it absolutely has to is a
bad idea.
