How does this prevent users from using restore mode on their
laptop/computer?

Excellent everyone, thank you for your help. I got a couple of good
leads. Sounds like iOS6 has a single app feature built in... looks like
it could be useful.

BTW... the application is a high-end hotel which wants to have them in
premium guest rooms for room control, ordering room-service, and a few
other cool things. It's my idea that they are locked down in some way
so they aren't constantly having to reset/fix them. There are some nice
cradles out there so you could have them next to the bed.

Hi Skeeve,

>From what I have seen it's a generic iPad and it only has that single
app on it. When you boot it that is all that's available. I know there
is a platform out there that lets them manage it. I'm not exactly sure
of its name but Qantas do it aswell too on one of their 767's.

Hey all,

I know this is a slim chance, but we're all in IT and know many people.

I'm wondering if anyone know someone out there who is hard core with
iPads.

Specifically, doing what JetStar has done to them for their in-flight
entertainment (I think this may just be in Asia).

I am looking at a solution for a customer in which the iPad needs to be
very locked down to specific applications and interface.

If you know anyone, please feel free to send them my way.
