Ultimately you're looking for the output of:

gw1m.mmc.com.au#sh int vlan1 accounting 
Vlan1 --- Internal Vlan BridgeGrp2 ---
                Protocol    Pkts In   Chars In   Pkts Out  Chars Out
                   Other         78       7644          0          0
                      IP   40732523 2135359876   51239459 1633075035
                     ARP     139008    8346496     149470    8968200

Which I'm not sure is supported under each platform.  It's also 32bit limited which can be frustrating for high speed ports.

This may give you enough of a hint.  I always sucked at finding SNMP mib data.  Or maybe I just got bored and gave up a lot of the time.
