Who said anything about calls? 'fixed-line' encompasses broadband services and
everything else that can be delivered over a cabled connection, in the same way that
Voda (and the others) currently delivers broadband data, VPN, messaging etc as well as
voice telephone calls over the mobile infrastructure.
Unless you subscribe to the David Chalke model of everything-will-be-wireless
(http://delimiter.com.au/2012/04/13/back-in-your-box-nbn-co-shuts-down-wireless-expert/)
there will still be money in fixed-line services, including delivered over a NBN fixed
line, for many years to come.

As for P2P SIP - no, not until we get universal ENUM or similar. Your phone handset
still wants to dial a phone number, not an IP address - again, for many years to come.

Paul.
