Hi Greg,

I don't believe it causes issues within Australia as the problem seems to be
isolated to Iinet blackholing occurring within their own network whilst they
make network changes? 

I understand that the HE.NET problems are being seen upstream from Vocus,
however haven't seen any problems with our Vocus services so don't believe
this is related?

As seen in AusNOG posts last week (and todays occurrence), it's multiple
connections that are affected, traffic simply gets into Iinet and then is
black-holed.

Iinet - any reason for these occurrences? Any way to stop this problem from
becoming an ongoing occurrence?

He.net has been targeted by ddos for the past week. We are hosted at their
fmt2 facility and were offline for 3 hours this morning.

I also see odd behaviour from iinet for domestic traffic when there is a
problem upstream (HE).

at this stage is known issue. Reference #114498182. 

No other information provided from their support team at this stage.

We're seeing the same occurrence from Iinet clients today to Sydney 

services. We're simply getting blackholed on the other end of your 

Pipe connection;
