Amen. It was the 100% Government owned fixed line monopoly being Telstra
that decided to overbuild Optus to protect it's position. At least
under the NBN 2.0 implementation study they've come up for a solution to
stop that from happening again.
Unfortunately, it's not be forcing the new 100% Government owned
monopoly NBN Co.) from using it's market power to disrupt competing
infrastructure owners. It's the very novel idea of creating a tax or
'cherry-picking' tariff that would have stopped competition in the first
place.
