Four Seasons Hotel
Sydney
September 16th and 17th, 2010.
Theme: Improving the Internet in .AU
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
The Internet in Australia is evolving at a rapidly increasing rate. Recent
moves by organisations and governments in our back yard have presented the
network operations community with a number of challenges. Some challenges
are already here, others will come in time. This year AusNOG-04 is adopting
the theme of “Improving the Internet in .AU”.
Now is the time for you to present your network operations topic to your
peers at AusNOG-04! Your topic will highlight an improvement to internetworking
operations in Australia, in light of the industry challenges or in spite of them.
Focus areas
=-=-=-=-=-=-
Internet operations can be a broad topic and the presentation selection
committee will be short-listing presentations in the following focus areas:
* Improving the scale of your network
* Making leaps in service or network quality
* Taking the network operations tools to the next level
* Improving the robustness or security of the network
* Using the corporate or Internet governance structures to your benefit
Other topics will be considered if they can be shown to be of interest
to the operator community.
Notes to presenters
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Preference will be given to presentations that result in actual operational
outcomes.
Session speakers should be prepared to present for 30 minutes. Keynote
speakers will be expected to present for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Short
presentations if of strong operational content are also acceptable.
Once the final slides are submitted, changes will only be permitted where
the presentation requires the most up to date information or data.
By submitting a presentation for consideration in the AusNOG-04 programme,
and if selected the presenter will allow AusNOG to:
* Take photographs of the presentation and presenter.
* Record and rebroadcast video and audio of the presentation and
presenter.
* Redistribute, the presentation slides, audio, video, and photographs
electronically, on the AusNOG website, or otherwise but leaving all
intellectual property in the hands of presenter or rightful
property holder where possible[1].
