[AusNOG] Brumby's proposed Under 25 Driving Curfew

That's the issue I see with Taxi's and Public transport.
I can catch a cab fairly safe, but that can take over an hour on sat night... (especially in the suburb of Sydney I live in)

However with this said, public transport is the other option, but with that comes inherent risks, carrying a laptop (in my case the new MacBook Pro, which is easily identifiable) + possible thousands of dollars worth of router (Cisco 7301 for example)
with saturday night you can expect drunks on the train and I have already had a close encounter with someone trying to thieve from me going to the city via train.

Work permits could be one option?
I know that in certain cases (in the Automotive industry) you can be on your P1 license (in NSW) and still drive a high performance car, if it is required by your work (Ie, your a car mechanic that specialises in fixing high performance vehicles)

Cheers!
