[AusNOG] Speaking of ipv4 exhaustion ...

It's the same deal with hosting customer's e-mails...

"But my old provider just last week could e-mail these guys, why can't you, you suck, I don't like you anymore"


Try explaining to them it's actually the person they are emailing's fault.  I mean, we chase up their target's network admins for them and try get it fixed but they are still annoyed in the mean time and consider it to be our fault when really, it's not.  And doesn't help if we are unable to get it fixed which has happened once or twice but I have managed to get most of them resolved fortunately but has taken a few weeks sometimes.

My favourite is when uunet's DNS servers were ignoring us.. I mean .. uunet.. come on. (our block was in 110/8) .. and this was only about a year ago.
