Well - you might not be permitting it - but the information is there in the
open for them to see, much like your company website. I'm always a little
careful in the contact details I provide in list postings for that reason
(they don't get the standard email sig). Anything you post to the list is
archived publicly and will probably be floating around and available for a
very long time.

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't that like saying "Because it is an open
list and anything you post can be read by anyone, you are permitting them to
chase you."?
I am not having a go at you, I just think its only fair that sales reps and
reporters alike need to abide by the AusNog charter just like anyone else?
Though.... a private list..... :D
