Macca,
Every metre is manually laid in the tank to ensure as tight an
installation as possible. This provides the best protection from
movement in the tank during large seas and let's them put in the maximum
amount of cable as possible. After walking around for a few minutes
they swap out. You'll notice in the top video there are two people in
the top feeding it in. One is walking around feeding and one is sitting
down. After a few minutes the other guy stands and up takes his turn
(whilst the other sits down). This process will go on for the entire
month of March and then once the ship (Tyco Durable) is full the next
(Tyco Decisive) comes in to pick up the last 2,200km.
Keep an eye on the 'gallery' (links on the left) as there will be much
more video for people to check out in the next few days when I get back
to Australia.

PPC-1 is coming - and so is cheaper internet bandwidth for all
Australians. A big thanks to the cornerstone customers who are
responsible for helping make this dream become a reality.
Cheers
