It's a hard call either way.

Reply to list means that by default conversations will be continued on list,
rather than  privately continued on. This means that valuable information
(or the same thing being repeated over and over) could potentially be
missed.

Sometimes people want their replies off list and that's fine too.

It also means that people in a rush/that aren't specifically aware that its
turned on will reply to list - and we've seen some mail definitely not for
public viewing come through.

Being that Bevan has asked for it to be returned to how it was, all replies
from now on will default to the poster.

Feel free to discuss further. Maybe David could set up a poll off the main
ausnog site?
