[AusNOG] Major Telstra Outage - Darwin, affecting voice and data services

Hi Scott,
 
Exchange hardware failure.
They were talking about flying in equipment.
 
All our services went down 1:40am AEST.
Service restored at 11:37am AEST.
 
Took down everything, including NT Govt.
I am waiting for a detailed report on what happened.
 
We've seen similar outages before, and they were previously related to
power at the exchange.

Starting at 1am sounds like a maintenance gone bad.....

	There is currently a major outage in Darwin, affecting voice and
data services pretty much everywhere.
	 
	ISDN down, BDSL down, Frame services down, ADSL down.
	 
	Telstra does not have an ETA at this stage, however the last
update was they are locating replacement hardware.
