[AusNOG] Call for nominations to APNIC Executive Council

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS TO APNIC EXECUTIVE COUNCIL

Three positions on the APNIC Executive Council will be opened for
election at the APNIC Member Meeting in Taipei on Friday, 29 February
2008.

The members whose positions are up for re-election are Akinori Maemura,
Che-Hoo Cheng, and Vinh Ngo, who were elected at the APNIC Member
Meeting in Perth on 3 March 2006.

Nominations are due by the close of business on Tuesday, 12 February
2008 at the latest (5:30pm UTC+10 Brisbane time).

Only APNIC members may nominate and vote for candidates, but nominees do
not have to be representatives of members.

Online voting will be available for this election via the MyAPNIC web
site and will open soon after the nomination period closes.

If you are not able to vote online or attend the AMM, you can still make
your vote count by appointing a proxy to represent you at the meeting.

Nominees should note that positions on the APNIC Executive Council are
currently voluntary and that APNIC may not be able to reimburse EC
members all expenses associated with EC duties. Where possible, however,
APNIC will reimburse actual expenses for attendance at APNIC meetings,
providing that these fall within budget and cash flow constraints. If
